Q: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE NEWBORN PICTURES?
A: The ideal time for a newborn session is within the first 8–14 days after your baby is born. During this time, babies usually sleep for longer periods and still naturally curl into the sweet newborn poses you see in my portfolio. Every baby is different, and beautiful newborn photographs can still be created after this period. However, the first two weeks are generally the best time for sleepy, gently posed photographs using wraps, baskets and carefully selected newborn props.
Q: HOW DO YOU SCHEDULE A NEWBORN SESSION WHEN DUE DATES AREN’T CERTAIN?
A: I note your baby’s estimated due date in my calendar and reserve availability around that time. Once your baby arrives, please contact me within 48 hours of the birth, and we will arrange the exact date and time of your session. Newborn sessions are usually scheduled within the first 8–14 days after birth, depending on your baby’s arrival and your family’s needs.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY NEWBORN SESSION?
A: You only need to prepare your baby’s usual necessities, such as nappies, feeding supplies and a pacifier, if your baby uses one. I will send you a detailed preparation guide before the session. I provide the wraps, blankets, baskets, headbands, hats and carefully selected props needed for the photographs.
Q: HOW LONG DOES A NEWBORN SESSION TAKE?
A: A newborn session usually takes between two and four hours. There is plenty of time for feeding, changing and soothing breaks. Your baby sets the pace, and I always follow their comfort and individual needs.
Q: WHERE DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
A: Your baby’s first days are precious, and I believe they are best photographed where your family feels most comfortable — at home. I travel to your home in Jerusalem and bring the wraps, blankets and carefully selected props needed for a beautiful and relaxed newborn session.
Q: CAN PARENTS AND SIBLINGS BE INCLUDED IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS?
A: Yes. I warmly encourage parents and siblings to be included in some of the photographs. The first days with your baby pass very quickly, and photographs of your connection will become especially meaningful over time. Many new mothers feel tired or uncomfortable being photographed so soon after giving birth. I completely understand this and will gently guide you into flattering, natural positions while keeping the focus on your connection with your baby. Sibling photographs are also welcome. The session will be adapted to the sibling’s age, comfort and ability to participate safely.
Q: DO YOU GUARANTEE ALL THE POSES AND SETUPS SHOWN IN YOUR PORTFOLIO?
A: Every baby is different, so specific poses and setups cannot be guaranteed. I always follow your baby’s comfort, flexibility and individual needs. Safety comes before any particular pose or photograph.
Q: HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
A: A ₪500 deposit is required to reserve your session. The deposit is included in the total session price and is not an additional fee. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received.
Q: WHAT IF MY BABY ARRIVES EARLIER OR LATER THAN EXPECTED?
A: The initial newborn session date is tentative. If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, we will adjust the session date together so that your baby can be photographed at the most suitable time.
Q: CAN I RESCHEDULE MY SESSION?
A: Yes. I understand that life with a newborn does not always go as planned. If you or your baby are unwell, or another important circumstance prevents the session from taking place, the session may be rescheduled once at no additional charge. Your deposit will be transferred to the newly agreed date. Additional changes may be considered individually in exceptional circumstances.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANCEL MY SESSION?
A: Because your session time is reserved exclusively for your family, the ₪500 deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
Q: WHEN IS THE REMAINING BALANCE DUE?
A: The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOGRAPHS?
A: Your fully edited photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery within two weeks of the session.
Q: CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHS?
A: Yes. Additional fully edited digital photographs may be purchased after you receive your selection gallery.
Q: WILL I RECEIVE BOTH COLOUR AND BLACK-AND-WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS?
A: Most photographs are delivered in colour. Selected images may also be provided in black and white when this best suits the mood and composition of the photograph.
Q: WILL I RECEIVE THE UNEDITED PHOTOGRAPHS?
A: No. Unedited and RAW files are not provided. Careful selection and professional editing are an essential part of my artistic process. Only the final, fully edited photographs are delivered.
Q: IS CLOTHING FOR PARENTS INCLUDED?
A: Clothing for parents is not provided. Before the session, I will help you choose suitable clothing, colours and textures from your own wardrobe so that everything looks harmonious in the photographs.
Q: ARE TAXES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
A: Yes. All prices listed on the website include VAT.
